The Jowai Municipal Board Selection Committee, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai invites online applications for contractual posts from genuine citizens of India. Preference will be given to local candidates residing permanently in West Jaintia Hills District, Meghalaya. 1. Assistant Engineer
   • Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
   • Pay: ₹35,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
2. Junior Engineer
   • Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
   • Pay: ₹25,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
3. Accounts Assistant
   • Qualification: Graduate in Commerce from a recognized institution.
   • Pay: ₹20,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
4. Sanitary Inspector
   • Qualification: Class XII passed with a one-year diploma in Public Health and Sanitation Technology.
   • Pay: ₹20,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
5. Driver
   • Qualification: Class VIII passed with a valid Professional Heavy Vehicle Driving License. Driving test will be conducted.
   • Pay: ₹15,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
6. Driver (JCB)
   • Qualification: Class VIII passed with a valid LDR (Loader or Construction Equipment) Driving License. Driving test will be conducted.
   • Pay: ₹15,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
7. Data Entry Operator (2 posts)
   • Qualification: HSSLC passed with a minimum 6-month Computer Certificate Course.
   • Pay: ₹20,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
8. Sweeper (8 posts)
   • Qualification: Class VI passed.
   • Pay: ₹15,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).
9. Sectional Assistant
   • Qualification: SSLC passed.
   • Pay: ₹20,000/- per month (fixed).
   • Age: 18–32 years as on 01.01.2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST).

Reservation of Vacancies

Vacancies may increase or decrease depending on requirement.

Application Fee

• ₹100 for General candidates.
• ₹50 for SC/ST candidates.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs) are exempted.

Payment can be made via Debit/ATM card, Net Banking, or UPI. Bank charges, if any, are extra. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Instructions for Online Application

1. Register through https://rpa.meghalaya.gov.in using a valid email ID (all future communication will be sent to this email).
2. A unique application code will be generated for each post applied for.
3. Only online applications will be accepted; hard copies will not be considered.
4. Upload a recent passport-sized photo and signature (JPG format, less than 50 KB).
5. No corrections will be entertained after submission.
6. Any form of impersonation, malpractice, or canvassing will result in disqualification.
7. Candidates must appear for written test/interview at their own expense.
8. Scrutiny of documents will be done only after clearing the screening/written examination.
