Online Applications in the Prescribed Format for Three (3) years Course in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) for the Session year 2021-2022 are hereby invited from Female Unmarried Candidates who are Indigenous Inhabitants or Permanent Resident of the State of Meghalaya.
1. Eligibility:-
(a) Qualifications: (i) 10+2 Passed with 40% Aggregate Marks, Science is preferable. Candidates are also eligible from the State open School recognized by State Govt. and National Institute of open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Govt. (ii) Class-XII (10+2) with English having 40% of Marks in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from recognized CBSE Board/State/Centre. (iii) Registered Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) with 10+2 Educational Qualification.
(b) Age Limit For Admission: 17 years as on 31-12-2021. The upper age limit is 35 years. For Candidates possessing ANM Certificate there is no age bar.
2. Applications which does not fulfill the requirement as per NIC will be rejected. No Application will be accepted or entertained after the last date.
3. The Applicants are to bring along with all the relevant documents in Originals at the time of Screening.
4. The list of the Candidates eligible for screening will be displayed in the Official Website. The date for screening will be intimated later.
5. Selected of Candidates who are Medically Fit and eligible will be made purely on the basis of Merit and subject to Reservation Policy of the State Govt.
6. The list of selected Candidates eligible for the Course will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Office of the Directorate of Health Services (MI), Shillong and Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Tura, West Garo Hills and also in the Govt. Website. No individual intimation will be served on Candidates Selected.
7. Selected Candidates are to report immediately to the Joint Director of Nursing, Directorate of Health Services (MI) for further instruction as case may be.
8. Selected Candidates who fail to report according to the fixed date will automatically lose their right to nomination and the next eligible candidate from the Merit list will be nominated.
9. Disabled Candidates: 3% Disability Reservation to be considered with a Disability of Locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of lower extremality after thoroughly Examined and Certified by Medical & Health Officer.
10. Further, Note that Govt. will have no obligation to Employ the Passed out Trainees, Hence forth, as per the INC Resolution there will be no Service Bond.
