The Recruitment Committee of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Shillong, invites applications from eligible candidates for one (1) vacant post of Additional Judge, District Council Courts, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council.
The last date for receiving applications is 15th December 2025, during office hours.

Eligibility and Requirements
Applications are invited in the prescribed form from bonafide citizens of India belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community of Meghalaya, who:
- Can speak, read, and write Khasi, and
- Are well acquainted with Khasi customary laws.
The post carries the initial pay scale of ₹78,900 – ₹1,42,900 per month (Level–21), plus allowances admissible under existing rules.
Essential Qualifications
- Age Requirement
Candidates must be at least 35 years old and not above 48 years as on 15.12.2025. - Educational Qualification
Candidates must be Law Graduates from a recognised institution or university. - Professional Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of practical experience as an Advocate in a Court of Law is required.
Submission of Application Form
- The application form must be completed in all respects and accompanied by:
- Attested copies of all certificates
- Four (4) recent passport-size photographs
- A self-addressed envelope
- A Demand Draft of ₹1,000 (non-refundable) drawn in favour of Executive Committee, KHADC, Shillong at Meghalaya Rural Bank, Iewduh Branch
- Candidates must clearly indicate the division, class, and percentage of marks obtained, as required in the form.
- Applications will be accepted up to 15.12.2025 during office hours. No applications will be entertained after the deadline.
- Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written examination consisting of three papers of 100 marks each.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 60 marks in each paper to qualify for the personal interview, which carries 50 marks.
- Applicants already in service must apply through proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
- Judicial Officers who possess the required seven years of experience (including the tenure served as Judicial Officers) are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must attend both the written examination and interview at their own expense.
- Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the undersigned or Room No. 317, on cash payment of ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred).
- Eligible candidates will be issued Admit Cards for the written examination. The date for collection of Admit Cards will be notified through the Council’s Notice Board and official website.
- Incomplete applications or those containing incorrect information will be summarily rejected without further correspondence.
