TMENP MBDA

The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA), on behalf of the Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya, invites online applications from eligible candidates for various contractual positions under the MeghEA Cell. The engagement will initially be for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.

Available Positions

1. Application Support Engineer

Number of Posts: 03
Place of Posting: Shillong
Monthly Emolument: ₹31,200
Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate in B.Tech/BE (Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, IT, or related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:

  • System administration, user support and training.
  • Application testing and coordination with content developers.
  • Coordination with the System Integrator on all system-related issues.

2. Application Support Assistant

Number of Posts: 02
Place of Posting: Shillong
Monthly Emolument: ₹26,000
Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate in B.Tech/BE (Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, IT, or related field).
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:

  • System administration, user support and training.
  • Application testing and coordination with content developers.
  • Coordination with the System Integrator on all system-related issues.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Monthly salary as per the position.
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA) applicable as per norms.
  • EPF and Medical Benefits as per organizational policy.

Contract Duration

  • The contract is initially for one year.
  • Renewal will depend on performance, project continuity, and organizational requirements.
  • Selected candidates must sign a deed of agreement with MBDA/MBMA.

  6. Last date for submission: 28 November 2025 (up to 5:00 PM)
  7. Candidates currently in service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.

Selection Process

  • A Cover Letter (maximum 500 words) explaining suitability and interest in the post is mandatory. Applications without it will be rejected.
  • Selection will include a written test/assignment and a personal interview.
  • The written test will cover Subject Knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.
  • All tests and interviews will be conducted only in Shillong.

General Information

  • Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee shortlisting.
  • MBDA may set higher standards or additional criteria if required.
  • Communication with shortlisted candidates will be done via SMS/E-mail only.
  • The shortlist will also be posted on the MBDA website and office notice board.
  • MBDA may conduct additional tests or ask for extra documents if needed.
  • Qualifications/experience may be relaxed for candidates suitable for lower-level positions.
  • The number of vacancies may vary, and MBDA reserves the right to modify them or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test or interview.
  • Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
  • Existing MBDA/MBMA staff may apply through their reporting officer. Newly appointed staff must have completed at least one year in their current role.
