Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) Recruitment Notification – October 2025

The Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) invites online applications from eligible and dedicated individuals for various contractual positions under the Meghalaya Program for Adolescent Wellbeing, Empowerment and Resilience (MPOWER) project.

The MPOWER initiative focuses on promoting the holistic development of adolescents aged 9 to 19 years across Meghalaya through a multi-sectoral approach, integrating education, health, livelihood, and youth empowerment.

Available Positions

1. District Project Manager
Applicants must hold a Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Business Administration, Education, or Public Health.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in project management, implementation, and coordination of development programs. They should also possess strong leadership and communication skills, be proficient in computer applications, and be willing to travel extensively within Meghalaya.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹45,000 (inclusive of allowances)
Place of Posting: Various districts across Meghalaya

2. Block Coordinator
Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in any discipline, preferably in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Education, or Public Health.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in community mobilization or coordination of development programs is required. Applicants should be fluent in English and at least one local language, with computer proficiency and readiness for extensive travel.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹37,200 (inclusive of allowances)

3. Community Mobilizer
Graduate Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Education, or Rural Development from a recognized institution.
Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization, field facilitation, or youth-related programs. Preference will be given to those with experience in education, health, gender, or livelihood projects.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹25,800 (inclusive of allowances)

4. Graphic Designer
Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or Multimedia Design.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in design, particularly for development or educational projects, is required. Applicants must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing tools, with a strong creative portfolio.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹37,200 (inclusive of allowances)

5. Programme Associate (Health)
Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences.
A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, health awareness, or community health programs is required. Candidates must be willing to travel across districts.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹25,800 (inclusive of allowances)

6. Programme Associate (Education)
Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Education, Social Work, or Development Studies.
Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience in educational programs, learning initiatives, or school-based interventions. Willingness to work closely with schools and education officials is essential.

7. Programme Associate (Youth & Sports)
Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related fields.
A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in youth programs, sports development, or leadership initiatives is required. Candidates should be willing to travel extensively for youth and sports activities.

8. Strategic Communication Lead
Postgraduate Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Media Studies.
Applicants should have 5–7 years of experience in media, communication, or SBCC campaigns with proven leadership in managing content, design, and production. Proficiency in videography, photography, and editing is essential.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹66,000 (inclusive of allowances)
Place of Posting: SPMU, Shillong

Essential Skills

All candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work collaboratively within diverse communities.

Age Limit

Candidates must be 45 years or below as of the date of publication.

Contract Duration

Appointments will be made on a one-year contractual basis, renewable subject to performance and project continuity.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Monthly salary includes allowances such as HRA and Mobile Allowance.
• EPF contributions will be provided by both employer and employee.
• Renewal of contract is based on performance and project requirements.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a written/technical test, boot camp, and personal interview.
The written test will assess subject knowledge, reasoning ability, English proficiency, and computer skills.
All assessments and interviews will be conducted only in Shillong.
