Notification on the Increase of Vacancies for the Post of Lower Division Assistant under the Government of Meghalaya

Consequent upon the increase of vacancies as informed by various Heads of Departments under the Government of Meghalaya for recruitment to the post of Lower Division Assistant (LDA) under different Heads of Departments, appearing at Post Code No. 01 of Advertisement No. 15/Pt-1/2025 dated 15th July 2025, it is hereby notified for the general information of all concerned that the number of vacancies has been revised as follows:

The total number of vacancies for the post of Lower Division Assistant under the Heads of Department now stands at 127 posts, comprising the previous 71 vacancies and an additional 56 vacancies distributed as follows:

• Unreserved (UR): 09
• Khasi: 23
• Garo: 23
• Other Scheduled Tribes (OST)/Scheduled Castes (SCs): 01

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Class 12th / HSSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or University.

Pay Scale:
The post carries a pay scale under Level-6 of the Revised Pay Structure.

Age Limit:
Candidates should be between 18 and 32 years of age as of 01.01.2025. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates.

Important Dates:
Online applications will be accepted up to 17:00 hrs on 30th November 2025. Applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.

Important Notes:

1. Candidates who have already applied earlier for the same post under Advertisement No. 15/Pt-1/2025 dated 15th July 2025 need not apply again.
2. All terms and conditions of the earlier advertisement, including the method of selection, pay scale, educational qualification, and examination centres, remain unchanged.
3. There will be only one examination conducted for both advertisements, i.e. Advt. No. 15/Pt-1/2025 dated 15.07.2025 and Advt. No. 19/2025 dated 30.10.2025.
