The Urban Affairs Department, Government of Meghalaya, is pleased to announce that the Online Building Permission System (OBPS) has been officially launched across the State on 11th August 2025.
The portal is now live and can be accessed at 👉 http://obps.meghalaya.gov.in
Starting from 15th October 2025, the OBPS process will become fully operational. All Architects, Registered Technical Personnel, and Registered Firms are required to submit their building plans, ownership documents, technical specifications, and other requisite materials exclusively through the OBPS portal.
From this date onward, applications for Residential, Commercial, and Mixed-Use (Residential & Commercial) buildings will be accepted only through the OBPS portal.
➡️ Offline submissions for these categories will no longer be accepted.
