On behalf of the Govt. of Meghalaya and in public interest, applications are invited for the post of Assistant Teachers in Government Upper Primary (UP) Schools falling under District School Education Officer (DSEO), East Khasi Hills, Shillong, Meghalaya as per the terms and conditions mentioned below:

Name of the Post: Assistant Teacher (Arts).
No. of Post: 6 (Six).

Name of the Post: Assistant Teacher (Science & Maths).
No. of Post: 5 (Five).

Name of the Post: Assistant Teacher (Hindi).
No. of Post: 1 (One).

Scale of Pay: Level 8 of Revised Pay structure of Govt. of Meghalaya.

Qualifications: Graduate with D.El.Ed or Graduate with B.Ed with 50% for General Candidates & 45% for ST/SC Candidates are eligible to apply.

MTET Passed Certificate (Upper Primary Level): Compulsory.

Age Limit: Upper age limit will be 32 years on the first day of the year in which the advertisement is made i.e. as on 1st January 2023 and 5 years additional relaxation in case candidates belonging to ST/SC will be applicable.

Reservation in posts: As per Reservation Policy of Govt. of Meghalaya.

Submission of Applications: Application should reach to the office of the DSEO, East Khasi Hills, Shillong on or before 15th November, 2023.

Method of Selection: Candidates will be selected for appointment through Board of Interview constituted by the State Government.
