Important Addendum Notice
In continuation to Advertisement Nos.
- DCRB(DSC) 8/92/Pt.II/147 dated 31st July 2024, and
- DCRB(DSC) 8/92/Pt.II/151 dated 29th October 2024,
the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh, invites online applications from permanent residents of Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya, in accordance with Memo No. PER(AR) 111/2022/70-A dated 27th March 2025.
Applicants who have already applied under the above advertisements need not apply again.
The last date for submission of online applications is 15th November 2025 up to 5:00 PM. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Candidates must read all instructions carefully before filling out the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Eligibility and General Conditions
- Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications as on the closing date of applications.
- The date of acquiring qualification will be considered as the date on which the result of the final examination is declared by the university or board.
- Applications without valid documentation or incomplete information will be summarily rejected.
Vacancies Available
Applications are invited for various Grade-III and Grade-IV posts under different departments in Ri Bhoi District. The posts include:
- Lower Division Assistant (LDA) (Pay Level 5) – 13 Posts
- Gram Sevak (Pay Level 5) – 1 Post
- Weaving Demonstrator (Pay Level 5) – 2 Posts
- Fishery Demonstrator (Pay Level 4) – 1 Post
- Tracer (Pay Level 4) – 2 Posts
- Forest Guard (Pay Level 2) – 1 Post
- Driver (Pay Level 3) – 2 Posts
- Jugali (Pay Level 1) – 1 Post
- Chainman (Pay Level 1) – 1 Post
- Grade-IV Staff (Pay Level 1) – 15 Posts
Each post requires relevant educational qualifications, as specified below:
- LDA: SSLC passed with computer knowledge and typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
- Gram Sevak: SSLC/HSSLC passed. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Gram Sevak/Sevika training or possess a Diploma in Rural Development from a recognized institute.
- Weaving Demonstrator: 2-year Certificate Course in Handloom Technology from a recognized institute.
- Fishery Demonstrator: HSSLC passed with Science stream or equivalent.
- Tracer: SSLC passed or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
- Forest Guard: SSLC passed and meeting the required physical standards (height, chest, and fitness test as prescribed).
- Driver: Class VIII passed with a valid driving license.
- Jugali, Chainman, and Grade-IV: Class VIII passed from a recognized institution.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 to 32 years as on 1st January 2025.
- Upper age relaxation:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) (15 years for SC/ST PwDs).
- There is no upper age limit for regular government employees who entered service within the prescribed age limit and apply through proper channel with a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:
For Grade-III Posts
- Written Examination (Two Papers)
- Paper I: General English
- Paper II: Elementary Mathematics / Science / Aptitude / General Knowledge
- Personal Interview (for shortlisted candidates based on written test results).
For Grade-IV Posts
- Written Examination (One Paper)
- General Knowledge
Only candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the personal interview.
Application Fee
- ₹100/- for all posts
- ₹50/- for SC/ST candidates
- Exempted for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) (on submission of valid Disability Certificate).
Mode of Payment:
Applicants can pay the fee using any of the following options:
- Internet Banking (SBI or other banks)
- Debit/Credit Card
- Cash payment at any State Bank of India (SBI) branch via e-Challan
Payment Portal:
Visit https://www.onlinesbi.com and select the State Bank of India Collect option.
Use the correct 16-character Application Code generated from the website at the time of application.
Important Instructions
- Apply only through the official website: https://ribhoi.gov.in
- Ensure all personal and educational details are accurate before submission.
- Candidates are advised to apply well in advance and not wait for the last date.
- Candidates must appear for Typing/Physical/Written/Driving tests at their own expense.
- Original documents must be produced during the interview. Candidates unable to produce documents will be disqualified.
- Admission to each stage of recruitment will be provisional and subject to verification of eligibility.
Debarment Rules
Candidates will be disqualified or debarred for the following reasons:
- Furnishing false or incorrect information.
- Using unfair or illegal means during the examination.
- Breach of confidentiality or attempt to influence the selection process.
- Impersonation or procuring impersonation by others.
Such candidates may also face criminal prosecution and permanent debarment from any future examinations conducted by the District Selection Committee (DSC).
