The High Court of Meghalaya invites online applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to 11 (eleven) posts of Grade-III Judicial Officers as per Schedule B of the Meghalaya Judicial Service Rules, 2006 (with amendments up to 2025). The position carries a pay level of J-1 (₹77,840/- per month plus allowances).
The available vacancies are distributed as follows:
- Khasi Jaintia: 4 Posts
- Garo: 4 Posts
- OST/OSC: 1 Post
- Unreserved: 2 Posts
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be citizens of India and hold a Law degree from a recognized university established by law in India.
- Age Limit:
- General Category: Not above 35 years as on the last date of application.
- SC/ST: Not above 38 years as on the last date of application.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of practice as an Advocate as on the last date of submission.
- Applicants should possess a working knowledge of Khasi, Jaintia, or Garo.
Reservation:
Reservation for SC/ST, PwBD, and other categories will be as per the Government of Meghalaya’s reservation policy.
Application Fee:
- General Category: ₹700/-
- SC/ST: ₹350/-
- PwBD: Exempted (with a valid certificate)
Mode of Payment:
Candidates may pay through SBI e-Challan (cash payment at any SBI branch) or via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking through the State Bank of India portal.
