The High Court of Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications from eligible citizens of India for one post of Public Relations Officer (PRO). The position will be filled on deputation basis for a period of three years, in accordance with the Pay Level-15 (₹45,600/–) of the 5th Meghalaya Pay Commission Pay Matrix.

Method of Recruitment and Eligibility
Appointment will be made on deputation for three years. Eligible officers must be serving in:
- The Central Government
- State Government
- Union Territory Administration
Applicants must either:
- Hold an analogous post on regular basis in the present cadre or department, or
- Have five years of regular service in the post of Assistant Public Relations Officer or an equivalent post.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with the following skills and experience will be preferred:
- Strong knowledge of social media usage
- Experience in preparation of PowerPoint presentations
- Social media content creation
- Photo and video shooting and editing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Maximum Age Limit
Applicants must not exceed 50 years of age as on the last date for receipt of applications.
Job Requirements
The role involves handling key communication activities, including:
- Press-related work (English and local languages)
- Preparation of newsletters, annual reports, and similar publications
Key Responsibilities
The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that institutional achievements and messages are communicated effectively and promptly to stakeholders and the public, helping improve the institution’s public perception.
- Developing, drafting, and editing news releases, media advisories, and announcements.
- Reviewing and approving content for publication on the institution’s official website.
- Managing the institution’s official blog and social media platforms.
- Maintaining records of media coverage, including photographs and video assets.
- Creating print materials such as brochures, posters, and flyers.

Mandatory Enclosures With Application
Applications must be forwarded through the parent department and include the following documents:
- Application in the prescribed format (Annexure I), duly signed by the applicant and countersigned by the competent authority.
- Attested copies of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the last five years, each page attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India/State Government.
- Cadre Clearance Certificate.
- Integrity Certificate.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
- A certificate confirming that all particulars furnished by the applicant have been verified and are correct as per service records.
